Celebrates the arrival of the 3 Wise Men. It is one of the most celebrated holidays in Puerto Rico. Children leave grass for their camels often wake up to find gifts. |
Due to the spanish colonizing Puerto Rico, the Taino learned their culture. La Fiesta de Los Reyes Magos is one of the traditions they learned. While the holiday is mostly considered catholic, Puerto Rico made it into a symbol of its identity. |

A highlight where local chefs prepare a massive pot of the sauce to share with thousands of people. |
The sauce was created in 1930 by Eladia Ladi Correa. The Recipe was inspired by Spanish settlers but it changed a little bit with the islans's ingridients. |

There are masked characters called vejigantes who "scare" the onlookers and hit them playfully with dried cow bladders. During the end of the Party a dummy is burned in a coffin to symbolize the communities' sins burning away. |
The festival's history goes all the way back to 1858 when it began as a masquerade ball for the elite, but it quickly evolved into a popular street celebration for all classes.
